I'm Cara, I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and am passionate about supporting women to achieve their breastfeeding goals. I work in private practice because I believe women and babies deserve excellent care. That is care that is holistic, nurturing, delivered in their own homes and
individualised to their own needs and goals.
I am also a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife with experience working in a busy metropolitan hospital working across the full scope of pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
I am Mum to 3 beautiful children who were born at home and who took me on a roller coaster of breastfeeding challenges. This journey showed me how difficult breastfeeding can be but also how breastfeeding can be an integral part of mothering, a tool I now wouldn’t want to do without. It is thanks to my children that I was able to discover my passion for supporting women to breastfeed.
